30-Day Returns

How to return an order:

1. Obtain the Return Authorization Code: Call Mondera customer service at (800) MONDERA to obtain a return authorization number. Complete the return form provided with the original packing materials. Write the RA number on the outside of the package you are returning.

2. Packing your order: Secure your item(s) and all the original packing materials, including the return form, packing slip and the diamond certificate(a $200 replacement fee will be charged otherwise) & Hearts and Arrow Viewer(a $40 replacement fee will be charged) if appropriate, in a plainly wrapped cardboard box (the post office has these available if you do not).
NOTE: Do not write Mondera, jewelry, diamonds or other luxury-related words anywhere on the package, as this invites theft.

3. Shipment and Insurance: Use the following shipping methods depending on the value of your order. For your protection, please insure every return and make sure you get a receipt confirming your return has reached Mondera. Mondera is not responsible for items lost or damaged while shipping. US customers

  1. If your order is valued at under $500, you can ship it back by any carrier. Mondera recommends FedEx, DHL or USPS registered mail.
  2. If your order value is over $500, ship your return via USPS registered mail or UPS (subject to some conditions).
    International Customers
  1. If your order is valued at under $500, you can ship it back by any carrier.
  2. For returns of over $500, customers will have to get items insured by a 3rd party insurance company like One Service or Malca Amit (FedEx and UPS will not insure international orders over $500.) Mondera is not responsible for arranging coverage/insurance for any returns.

Return Process

Our laboratory will inspect and verify the condition of the item once we receive the return. Returns take approximately five business days to process upon receipt of the item. All original Mondera paperwork must be included with the item in order for refunds to be processed. Mondera will refund the full cost of the item EXCLUDING shipping**, handling and insurance charges. Refunds will be made using the mode of payment used in the original purchase.

** If an order shipped is defective, then Mondera will only reimburse shipping and handling up to a max of $15.

Shipping Charge Policy

Mondera offers free shipping for most domestic orders. Some shipping fees may be applied to international shipments or Saturday-delivery shipments. These shipping costs will not be refunded in the event of a Return or Exchange. Additionally, Mondera reserves the right to charge the cost of return-shipping to the Customer under the following conditions:
  • If any order is returned by the shipping carrier (e.g. UPS, FedEx, USPS) to Mondera as “undeliverable” because the shipping address provided by the Customer was incorrect.
  • If the Customer or the order’s Recipient refuses to accept the package from the shipping carrier for any reason.

Conditions of return

  1. All returns and exchanges must be received at Mondera’s offices within thirty (30) days from the order’s original date of SHIPMENT. Orders received after this date will not be accepted for refund, exchange, or repair under any conditions.
  2. All returns and exchanges must include a Return Authorization Number written clearly on the outside of the shipping package. Any packages received without a Return Authorization Number will be refused.
  3. Badly-packaged or uninsured return packages will not be accepted.
  4. All returned items must be received in their original condition. Any items that have been worn, resized, engraved, damaged, or altered in any way will not be accepted for refund or exchange.
  5. Custom orders such as engraved or personalized items or special finger sizes are considered final-sale items and are excluded from the 30-day return policy. These items will not be accepted for refund, and they will only be accepted for exchange in the case of an error on the part of Mondera.
  6. Return-shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will not be refunded by Mondera unless the return/exchange is the result of an error on the part of Mondera. In this case, Mondera will refund shipping costs (up to a maximum of $15), provided that a receipt or other proof of the incurred shipping charges is supplied to Mondera at the time of the return/exchange.
  7. Mondera is not responsible for arranging coverage/insurance for any returns. Mondera is not responsible for return-shipping losses.
  8. All certified diamonds must be returned with their original GIA or AGS certificate. The replacement fee for a missing or damaged diamond certificate is $200. If you purchased a Hearts and Arrows diamond, the free Hearts and Arrows viewer must be returned as well. The replacement fee for a missing or damaged viewer is $35.
